Pregnancy skincare

When is woman is pregnant it is a beautiful and wonderfully exciting time.

During this time, a woman’s hormones change and could lead to the woman developing acne or other skin care concerns that they previously were not battling. When a woman is pregnant, it is vital to make sure that they are using products and ingredients that are safe for pregnancy to not cause any harm to the beautiful life that is been knitted together in the womb.

We firstly recommend that if you are pregnant, please consult with your doctor to discuss the skincare products that you want to use to ensure their safety.

Most skincare products in retail markets are safe to use, the only major concern comes with the use of prescription and non-prescription retinol, we recommend avoiding all retinol during pregnancy, as well as hydroquinone and regarding sunscreen it would be safe to avoid any sunscreen with the UV filter, oxybenzone, formulated in it.

Yet, even if an ingredient is safe for pregnancy, please always consult with your doctor as the above information is not meant to be absolute.
