My focus with the brand was to care about the ingredients, which is why our products are formulated with zero fragrances and non-pore-clogging ingredients with each product having a specific active ingredient or a few that have been tested to address and target various skincare concerns. Although we have created products with an emphasis on them working and helping you to manage and clear your skincare concerns, we need to note; that worth and value are not found in appearance, and we want to promote a healthy skin image so that all of our customers can embrace their flaws and imperfections because, after all, there is no such thing as perfect skin.
Hi, my name is Matthew Beaver; I am grateful to be the founder of The Truth, welcome.
The journey to starting The Truth has been quite the road. After leaving school in 2019 I became very obsessive about my skin and particularly about my acne. This obsession caused much harm to my mental state to the point where I couldn’t look at a mirror properly anymore. I walked around with spot treatments on my acne and acne scarring because I didn’t want to see any imperfections and wouldn’t want to socialize with people because of my acne, unfortunately, I thought my worth and value was found in my appearance.
Yet in my obsession, I sought to find products and ingredients that would help me with my acne, and through this process, I became interested in skincare which then led me to create my own brand which was called The Truth.
