Exfoliation for aging

The Truth - Skin renewing exfoliating serum

To improve signs of aging, exfoliation is one of the best methods. As the skin ages, it often becomes dull and loses its brightness. Exfoliating helps by shedding dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, promoting a brighter and more even skin tone.

For younger-looking skin, we recommend using chemical exfoliants like alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), poly hydroxy acids (PHAs), and a beta hydroxy acid (BHA). Instead of physical exfoliants like scrubs, which can be irritating and abrasive to the skin and worsen the effects of aging.

Some common AHAs to use are glycolic acid and lactic acid, and for PHAs, you can use gluconolactone and lactobionic acid. For a beta hydroxy acid, salicylic acid is a good choice.
